4 Jul 2008 - Independence Day
This proved to be very successful last year, so once again, on Friday 4th July the school intends to celebrate its own “Independence Day”. In order to boost confidence and raise self esteem, we would like all of the children to enter the school on their own i.e. without parents or carers.
Mrs Lowe and Mrs White will ensure that the children cross the road safely by being on road duty as from 8.55 am. To further ensure pupil safety (and independence), we would request that parents/carers move away from opposite the school once the children are inside the playground. We will also be trying to encourage the children to be more independent as they go about their lessons on that day. We are certain that the pupils will enjoy the experience that this “Independence Day” will give them.
